Born in 1933, Brenda’s family moved to Evans Road Elizabeth Bay in 1940. At first we lived in Evans Road. It was a small street of four-storey terraces that were really just let out as rooms. Her father, who had served in WWI became a recruiting officer at Woolloomooloo during WWII.
